Presentation FIMEM

The FIMEM is an association of national movements, present in the whole world, which claim popular pedagogy and co-operative education (Freinet Pedagogy).

The FIMEM supports the contacts and the exchanges between the teachers and the teachers engaged in practice, the search and the co-operative innovation of Freinet pedagogy.

The FIMEM was recognized by UNESCO like a nongovernmental organization.

Meetings

The FIMEM organizes " International Meetings Of the Freinet Teachers " (RIDEF) the last one took place in Germany, Varenholz'castle. july 24 to august 3, 2004.

The next one will be held in Senegal in 2006.

Members of the FIMEM take part in the various congresses organized by the national movements.

Multilettre

The FIMEM publishes the " Multilettre " which appears regularly (3 numbers per annum on november, february and june) : an international review which presents articles of deepening, informations about movements and usual headings.

Subscription for Multilettre:

40 EUR (for two years) to address to the Treasurer or President of the FIMEM (see below)

The Board of directors of the FIMEM is composed by members of various countries, elected for 4 years (first mandate) or 2 years (second mandate).

the purpose of this list is :

to allow exchanges and debates between the teachers who, throughout the world, practise (or wish to practise) Freinet Pedagogy.

to offer a fast way of communication between the movements of the FIMEM (International Federation of the Movements of Modern School - Freinet Pedagogy)

to develop search in the direction of pedagogy Freinet (its topicality and its future; the permanent value of the invariants)

to compare and share specificities of the various movements of the FIMEM, in their interpretation of Freinet Pedagogy.

LIST Classes Freinet Pedagogy

The purpose of the list acticem (Action International Telematic Communication Classes Modern School - Freinet Pedagogy) is :

to allow exchanges between the classes which, throughout the world, practise Freinet Pedagogy.

to develop search in network

to develop the contacts, knowledge, the friendship between the children and teenagers of various countries.

With the Acticem list, is associated an Actiprof list, gathering the teachers having charges the subscribed classes with Acticem with them.

The simultaneous inscription with the two lists Acticem and Actiprof is thus obligatory.

Two distinct addresses must be proposed (it is currently easy where the free addresses are current).

To make it possible for your class to take part in the exchanges on the Acticem List, consult the presentation of this list on the site of the FIMEM (Freinet.org), then fill the form with inscription:
